Ian Simpson, who was born and brought up in Manchester, is a world renowned architect, responsible for buildings such as Urbis and The Beetham Tower and other iconic structures in the city and elsewhere. His practice has won many awards for innovation and excellence in design. He is much in demand as a lecturer, both nationally and internationally. He will be giving a talk entitled "Civic Ambition: Manchester and Antwerp".
