Tour: Syon House, Brentford

| Syon House

Enjoy a private guided tour of this historic riverside gem. Syon House is linked with the history of some of the greatest families of the land, including the Percys and the Seymours. It is notable for work by Robert Adam, including his transformation of the Tudor long gallery.

The garden, by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown, demonstrates how adjacent landscape was 'borrowed' to enhance the setting of the garden, which, in this riverside setting offers an interesting comparison with nearby Chiswick House. There is also an important 19th century conservatory stocked with interesting flora.

The guide for the tour is Chris King, Assistant House Manager, who will give a vivid account of events in the 17th century, and in particular the association of the Percy family with the Stuarts.
