Private View The Courtauld: 20 Years of Collecting

| Not Applicable when venue selected above

Join us for an exclusive private view of the Courtauld Gallery’s current exhibition of art that has been added to the collection since the Institute’s move from Home House to Somerset House 20 years ago. Courtauld staff will guide us through the masterpieces on show, several of which were acquired with the help of the Art Fund. Highlights of the exhibition include paintings by Constable, Degas, Ingres, Seurat and Turner. The show also unveils some important new acquisitions, such as Joshua Reynolds’s late masterpiece Cupid and Psyche. The gallery will be kept open especially for us, so in addition to the special exhibition, this early evening visit also provides members with a unique opportunity to enjoy other pieces from the permanent collection. Celebrated paintings by Rubens, Manet, Czanne and Van Gogh can be seen among many other works of art from the Renaissance period to the 20th century.
