Visit: Upton House, Warwickshire

| Upton House

Upton House displays the important art and porcelain collections amassed by Lord Bearsted, son of the founder of the Shell Oil company, which he bequeathed to the National Trust in 1948. We have the opportunity to view the House and its contents in our private tour starting at 11:00. There will be a private tour of the house, taking in its 1920s interior, including a red and silver art deco bathroom, which typifies the style of the super-rich of the period. The paintings include works by Stubbs, Reynolds, Hogarth, El Greco and Bosch. The gardens are being returned to their 1930s heyday and feature terraces and herbaceous borders, a kitchen garden, tranquil water garden and the national collection of asters.
