Lecture: 'The Glasgow Boys' by Roger Billcliffe

Roger Billcliffe, author of the standard work on the Glasgow Boys, will give a lecture on the first major exhibition devoted to this influential group of artists since 1968. The exhibition at Kelvingrove Art Gallery comprises around 100 oil paintings and 50 works on paper, and features all the important artists associated with the group.

The lecture takes place in the Hunterian Art Gallery Lecture Theatre and there will be the opportunity to visit the Hunterian's complimentary exhibitions Aspects of Scottish Art, 1860 to 1910 and James Patterson, before going to Kelvingrove to view Pioneering Painters: The Glasgow Boys 1880-1900.
