Talk : Sally Gabori - Contemporary Australian Indigenous Art in London

| The Gallery in Cork Street

Sally Gabori (b1924) has taken the art world by storm since her introduction to paint and canvas in 2005. She exhibited at Art London 2009, and has work in the Musee du Quai Branly in Paris.

Her visual language represents a contemporary interpretation of her country – Mornington Island in Queensland. The Alcaston Gallery in Melbourne was one of the first to recognise the importance of aboriginal art, and together with Jennifer Guerrini-Maraldi Art, London, they are proud to bring the work of this new artist to London.

Beverly Knight of the Alcaston Gallery will talk to us about the artist, and the indigenous art scene in Australia.

Nearest tube: Green Park, Bond Street
