Overnight Visit: Ballindalloch Castle, Innes and Duff House

Ballindalloch is one of the very few privately owned castles to be lived in continously by its original family, the Macpherson-Grants, since it was built in 1546. It is a beautiful and renowned Scottish castle known as the "Pearl of the North". In the afternoon visit Innes, the home of the Tennant family. The house was built by Sir Robert Innes between 1640 and 1651 and has later Edwardian additions. It is set in magnificent walled gardens and surrounded by parkland.
The following morning visit Duff House, a treasure house and cultural arts centre, designed by William Adam and built between 1735 and 1740.
