Visit and Lecture: 'Saving Art for the Nation: the Work of the Art Fund', by Leigh Spiers, at the Shipley Art Gallery

Leigh Spiers, a director of The Art Fund, will talk at the Shipley Art Gallery about the Art Fund's 107-year history. Attendants will learn about the extraordinary range of artworks rescued by the Art Fund, including some of the charity's greatest campaigns as well as works of local significance. Visitors will also be able to view the Shipley’s Treasures exhibition, a collection of paintings dating from the 16th to the 20th century.

This is a joint event with the Friends of the Shipley Art Gallery, and Leigh's talk will follow their AGM.
