Visit: Pentillie Castle
| Pentillie Castle
Standing high above the River Tamar near Saltash, Pentillie's grounds were redesigned by the Regency landscape designer, Humphrey Repton. The castle began life as a merchant's house in 1698 and was remodelled into a castle in 1809. It was partially demolished in the 1960s, but has since been restored. It has its own river frontage and is surrounded by steep valleys, secluded woodland and spectacular views.
Visit includes a tour of the castle and its American garden, the Mausoleum, kitchen garden, sawmill and Regency bathing hut, and will include hot lunch and tea.
