Lecture: 'Mercury Moves House - the redisplay of the V&A's collections of Medieval and Renaissance European Art' by Kirsty Kennedy (Sherborne)

| Digby Memorial Church Hall

What is new about the V&A's 'new' galleries of Medieval and Renaissance art? How did curators choose the objects on display and what discoveries were made as research for the galleries progressed? This illustrated talk introduces the ideas which underpin the new galleries and explores the history of some of the objects they contain. Kirstine Kennedy is the V&A's curator of Renaissance and Baroque Silver and co-authored the book on the galleries. The lecture will be followed by tea.
