Tour: Joseph Beuys, ARTIST ROOMS on Tour with The Art Fund

This exhibition, part of ARTIST ROOMS on Tour with The Art Fund, and staged as a collaborative venture between the Hunterian and Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art, will be the first opportunity for Glasgow audiences to see a substantial selection of the work of Joseph Beuys (1921 – 1986), who remains, over 20 years after his death, one of the most influential figures in post-war European Art. The exhibition will explore Beuys's ideas on economics, politics, activism, anti-establishment, teaching, learning and philosophy and raise questions on how these ideas have extended beyond Beuys's own lifetime and how they can continue to inform thinking today.
