Lecture: 'Peter Carl Faberge', by Svetlana Lloyd

Peter Carl Faberge (1846-1920) was the designer of choice of royalty, dignitaries and the wealthy. The firm of Faberge had the ability to make objects of rare delicacy, technical refinement and great beauty, which also demonstrated that the worth of a piece was measured by the skill expended on it, not the opulence of its materials. There will also be an opportunity view a few of the many decorative art items acquired with Art Fund assistance at the City of Leeds Museum.

Svetlana Lloyd is a world-wide lecturer on the Decorative Arts.
