Lecture and Private View: Watercolour in Britain: Travelling with Colour (Norwich)

To mark this major exhibition at Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery, Alison Smith from Tate Britain will present a lecture entitled The Secret History of Watercolour that will describe, inter alia, how she is planning to create a major exhibition on British watercolour for Tate Britain in 2012, building in part on the exhibition at Norwich Caslte. The exhibition includes watercolours by leading artists such as Girtin, Turner and Cotman, Edward Lear, D.G Rossetti, John Singer Sargent, John Piper, Elizabeth Blackadder and Anish Dapoor.
