Lecture: 'The Tomb-chapel of Nebamun' by Richard B Parkinson

This fundraising and recruitment lecture is given by Richard B. Parkinson, from the British Museum’s Department of Ancient Egypt and Sudan when he will talk about the new gallery of ancient Egyptian art. This gallery houses the wall paintings from the Tomb-chapel of Nebamun, an accountant who worked in Thebes (present day Karnak) and died around 1350BC. Relatively little painting of any kind survives from the ancient world so it is an extremely important work which Richard will talk about as well as the ups and downs of the actual refurbishment of the gallery.
