Visit: Royal Danish Embassy

| The Royal Danish Embassy

Arne Jacobsen (1902–71) was Denmark’s most influential modernist architect and furniture designer. This visit offers a tour of his last building, the Royal Danish Embassy, and includes a viewing of the ambassador’s residence overlooking Cadogan Gardens. Jonathan Glancey, architecture and design correspondent of The Guardian, will talk about Scandinavian design in the 1950s and 60s, using Jacobsen furniture at the embassy and images of his other pieces to show the distinctive features of Danish furniture – practicality, comfort and beauty.
