An annual drinks party, this year held at Wistow Hall by kind permission of Richard and Diana Brooks.
Wistow was originally brought by the Halford family in 1603, the house was then modernised by Sir William Halford in 1780; Sir Henry Halford Royalist Physician added the Gothic facade and created the park and lake.
Charles I slept at Wistow before the battle of Naseby and after the battle, he changed horses there, leaving behind his crimson velvet saddle, stirrups and sword, which will be on view.
