Visit to the Wallace Collection, London

In the mid 1990s, Wallace Collection Director, Dame Rosalind Savill, initiated a programme of works to recover the grandeur and opulence that the house had known as a private residence. No other collection can boast such a large and consistently fine body of French 18th-century paintings and decorative arts. A recently completed second phase of decoration has daringly recharged the atmosphere of the rooms in which these objects are now displayed. A choice of two private guided tours are on offer.
