Visit: Behind the Scenes at the London Coliseum

| London Coliseum

Over 100 years old and magnificently restored several years ago, the Coliseum sparkles with gilt and marble against a backdrop of rich purple drapes dripping with tassels. Theatre historian Sarah Lenton will take the tour from the balcony right down to the orchestra pit. This is a working theatre, so, alongside the Edwardian splendour, visitors will see 21st-century stage technology and something of the busy life of an opera company. The theatre is also famous for its ghosts (though their appearance cannot be guaranteed). Please note: this visit involves a lot of stairs and disabled access is not provided backstage.
