Visit to Kirtlington Park, Oxon

| Kirtlington Park

One of the few great Palladian houses remaining in private hands, Kirtlington was designed by Gibbs and built for Sir James Dashwood, with splendid plasterwork by Roberts of Oxford, and stands in a classic Brownian landscape which appears hardly to ahve changed since the 18th century. A tour by restorer, Christopher Buxton, will highlight something of the house's history before visiting the public rooms and outside.
