Visit :The Royal Blackheath Golf Club

| The Royal Blackheath Golf Club

The Royal Blackheath Golf Club is the oldest golf club in the world, being instituted in 1608. The impressive clubhouse is a splendid example of mid-17th century Restoration architecture. The grade 1 listed building still retains its elegant staircase and many of the original ceilings, fireplaces and pictures and other priceless artworks. The building also contains a museum of the history of golf, including painting, medals and documents and some of the oldest artefacts connected with golf. We will be given a private tour both of the building and of the museum.
