Visit to Markenfield Hall and Ripley Castle

| Markenfield Hall

A trip by coach to Markenfield Hall, near Ripon North Yorkshire. The home of Mr Ian and Lady Deidre Curteis, Merkenfield is regarded as Yorkshire's best kept secret. Three miles south of Ripon ticked privately away down a mile long drive, stands one of the most astonishing and romantic of Yorkshire's mediaeval houses. Built defensively in 1310 by John de Markenfield and still completely moated. Afterwards on to Ripley Castle home of Sir Thomas and Lady Ingleby. Have lunch first and afterwards a guided tour around this beautiful Castle. This year marks the Ingleby's 700th year at Ripley Castle.

For those of you joining the coach at Brough, park in the town and the bus will pick up passengers on the road out to Kirkby Stephen, just before the slip road on to the A66 east bound.
