North Norfolk Country House Tour 2009

| Various Norfolk venues

North Norfolk is home to some really great houses. All the ones included in this tour are in private hands and many are not otherwise open to the public. Start your trip with an introductory evening lecture by Richard Wilson, Professor of History at the University of East Anglia to prepare yourself for visits to Raveningham Hall, Heydon Hall, Holkam Hall, Barningham Hall and Wolterton Hall/Mannington Hall.

The tour allows time to visit other places such as National Trust properties Blickling, Felbrigg and Sheringham, enjoy walks on these marvellous beaches and discover some of the truly beautiful and extremely early churches in the area.

Price includes the lecture, guided tours, garden visits, refreshments at Heydon and Barningham and light lunch at Mannington. A list of B&Bs will be sent to those applying. Please book your own accommodation and make your way under your own steam. Directions for the opening lecture will be sent with your tickets and directions for subsequent visits will be given that evening.

This richly endowed and infrequently visited area is certainly worth discovering!
