A day in London starting with a visit to the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, open to the public for the London Open House weekend. Guided by Cambridge graduate and Fellow, Sir David Wright, GCMG, LVO, who was a senior FCO official as well as Ambassador to Korea and Japan. Following lunch in the crypt of St Martin's in the Fields, visit the Mall Galleries to view the work of contestants for the Threadneedle prize awarded for new work based on observation of the real world and described by Radio 4's Front Row programme as 'a rival to the Turner Prize'. Talk and tour by Lewis McNaught, Director of the Galleries.
