Tour: D-Day Museum and Overlord Embroidery

| D-Day Museum

The Overlord Embroidery was inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry and is a moving tribute to the efforts and sacrifices of those taking part in the invasion of Europe. It has 34 different panels, is 83 metres long and tells the story of the origins of Operation Overlord in the dark days of 1940 right up to the victory in Normandy in 1944.

This special visit will include an introduction by the Museum Director and a guided tour of the Embroidery followed by a light lunch in the restaurant.
