Diane Arbus: An Art Fund Artist in Conversation: David Hurn and Martin Barnes

Legendary New York photographer Diane Arbus is celebrated for portraits of nudists, circus performers and eccentrics in 1950s and 1960s America. Come and hear renowned British photographer David Hurn discuss Diane Arbus’ work, life and legacy. He will be in conversation with Martin Barnes, Curator of Photographs at the V&A who curated their 2005 exhibition Diane Arbus Revelations.

The talk will be preceded by a drinks reception and guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a private view of the Diane Arbus exhibition.


ARTIST ROOMS is the new national collection of international contemporary art created by dealer and collector Anthony d’Offay. ARTIST ROOMS On Tour with The Art Fund, supported by the Scottish Government, is an inspired partnership with the UK’s independent art charity and national government enabling Tate and National Galleries of Scotland to display ARTIST ROOMS throughout the UK, including the National Museum Cardiff.
