Visit to Stanway House and Snowshill

| Stanway House

Snowshill Manor is set in lovely gardens designed in a series of rooms and run on organic principles. The house contains more than 22,000 objects collected from all over the world by the eccentric previous owner Charles Paget Wade. Lunch is available in the National Trust restaurant.

Stanway is a Jacobean manor house, the home of Lord & Lady Neidpath. Much of the furniture has been in the house since it was built including the Charles I shuffleboard. The gatehouse and Tithe barn are important buildings in the grounds and the water gardens, canal and cascade have been restored in the last few years and the 300 ft fountain is said to be the highest in the world.
