Visit to the Historic Dockyard Chatham and a Paddlesteamer Cruise

Discover over 400 years of maritime history as you explore the most complete dockyard of the Age of Sail from the Armada to the Falklands conflict. Visit the dramatic 1/4 mile Rope Walk. See the Historic Warships and Wooden Walls Exhibitions. Find out how Drake, Pepys, Nelson, Brunel and Dickens played a part in Chatham's story.

Cruise the Medway on the last coal-fired paddle Steamer, built in 1924. Set off from Thunderbolt Pier to see the ramparts of Queen Elizabeth I's Upnor Castle, the river steps where Nelson joined the navy and the scene of the infamous Dutch victory in the Battle of Chatham or as the English preferred to call it 'The Dutch Raid'.
