Visit to Birdsall House, Malton

| Birdsall House

Birdsall House, which is open only to a few booked groups a year, dates back to the early seventeenth century. It has undergone considerable alterations and additions in the last three centuries. Birdsall’s unified appearance today owes much to the work of Anthony Salvin, who re-modelled the house between 1871and 1875. Within there is an outstanding collection of family portraits and other paintings.

Enjoy a tour of the interior with the owner, Lord Middleton, or a member of his family followed by a cup of tea and the opportunity to walk in the grounds and visit the picturesque ruins of the old village church.
