Visit to the House and Workshops of Eric Gill

| Pigotts and Eric Gill

A further visit for those of you who missed the 2008 trips. Eric Gill was a typographer, etcher and stonemason. In the morning, John Morris from the Chiltern Woodlands Project will lead a walk through the historic Pigotts woodland, with a view of the Gill crucifix. After lunch, Nick Wheeler-Robinson, the present owner of Pigotts, will show you Gill's original workshops and give an illustrated talk about his unconventional domestic life and work at Pigotts, during one of the most fruitful periods of his career.

NB Sensible footwear is recommended for the woodland walk.
