View: Bank of England Parlours

| Bank of England

The Curator of the Bank of England conducts this private view, giving visitors the opportunity to see inside the most famous bank in the world and discover the Bank’s Parlours – the grand rooms where senior officials have their offices. The Parlours contain late 18th- and early 19th-century furniture, as well as a collection of paintings connected to the Bank’s history. Also on view are the mosaics that decorate the front hall, by the early 20th-century Russian artist Boris Anrep. The tour is a blend of architectural, banking, economic and monetary history, and includes the Committee Room and Court Room.
