Visit to The Louth

The Louth Museum has been highly successful in attracting grants, including in 2008 one from The Art Fund for Peter DeWint's 'The Ford near Louth'. The museum presents a fascinating insight into the historic town and it's surrounding, as well as having completed a 'state of the art' 660,000 extension and refit in 2006. Mr David Robinson OBE, MSc, President of Louth Naturalists', Antiquarian and Literary Society will act as your guide to delights such as a Roman trulla (Legionary's mess tin) and limewood carving by the Louth 'Grinling Gibbons' T W Wallis.
