Art Fund Prize Special Event: Exclusive evening at the Rotunda, the William Smith Museum of Geology

To celebrate their nomination for The Art fund Prize for Museums and Galleries, the Rotunda Museum, Scarborough, is inviting members and their friends to a special evening reception.

One of the oldest surviving purpose built museums in the country, the Rotunda museum tells the story of the history of geology, William Smith (1769-1839), ‘The Father of English Geology’, the building of the museum and the founding Society. Join Will Watts, Head of Public Programmes and Partnerships at the Rotunda, for a fascinating introduction to this newly refurbished museum, after which guests will have the opportunity to explore the museum and enjoy a glass of wine with canaps.
