Meeting at Hampstead Heath Station, we will walk to the house Erno Goldfinger built and furnished in 1939 in the Modernist style.The art collection includes work by Bridget Riley, Max Ernst and Henry Moore. We will then pause for lunch at the Freemasons Arms before taking a walk through the streets of Hampstead to experience fine architecure mainly from the first half of the 20th century. We shall visit Downshire hill and eventually Fenton House, a 17th century merchants house with outstanding collections of poreclein. We shall have a five minute talk, followed by a guide-yourself tour.

There is a quarter hourly rail link fmo Stratford to Hampstead Heath. Those arriving in London Kings Cross should tube to Belsize PArk, 10 minutes walk from Hampstead Heath Station.
