Britain's oldest manufacturing compan, established in 1570 and in continuous business since that date. Famous bells made at Whitechapel included the Liberty Bell cast in 1752 and the Westminster ' Big Ben' at 13.5 tons the largest bell by the foundry. We shall have a guided tour. The tour lasts 1 1/2 hours and there are stairs to negotiate. Less agile visitors may express difficulty.
