The Art Fund Autumn Lecture: Ben Harman

| Gallery of Modern Art

To celebrate the award of 1 million to Glasgow's Gallery of Modern Arts by Art Fund International, the museum's curator Ben Harman will give a talk on the potential that this award gives the gallery. Glasgow is very fortunate that GOMA (the second most visited contemporary art gallery outside London) is one of five galleries around the UK that has been awarded this sum, which hopes to encourage the acquisition of international contemporary art.

This is a wonderful opportunity to hear first-hand the plans for how the money is to be spent.

Coffee will be available from 10am. After the lecture there will be an opportunity to view the exhibition, 'Colours of the Silk Road', from the Burrell's prized collection of suzanis - richly embroaidered wall-hangings from Uzbekistan.
