The Denham Court Pictures Exhibition and Trip to Ascott Manor

Beginning with coffee, come and learn more about the eventful history of the paintings and the house - talks and a guided tour by Sarah Gray, Curator of the Museum, as well as an opportunity to see our Art funded acquisitions, including a Samuel Palmer, a Paul Nash and a magnificent hoard of Iron Age coins.

After this, we will lunch at the Cock Inn at Wing before visiting Ascott Manor. Ascott, a Rothschild house, is that rare thing, a relatively small country house filled with museum-quality works of art: fine paintings, oriental porcelain, English and French furniture. It also has a superb garden maintained to a pitch of perfection and containing some new surprises which will be revealed to us by the head gardener.
