Brighton Museum and Art Gallery and Brighton Pavilion

Guests will meet at the main entrance of the museum, in the Royal Pavilion gardens, where tea and coffee will be served. A guided tour of its summer exhibition Chinese Whispers, will then follow.

The exhibition, featuring pieces loaned from Her Majesty the Queen, national museums and private collections, includes rare and iconic objects, including some of the earliest Chinese and China Trade objects exported to Britain. It also displays- in ways never seen before- imitations of Chinese objects and furniture, ceramics, silver and textiles from the late 17th-century to the 1930's.

The tour will break at lunchtime and continue in the Pavilion in the afternoon.
