Visit: Behind the Scenes at the Globe Theatre

| The Globe Theatre

The Globe Theatre, originally built in 1599 by Shakespeare's company, the Lord Chamberlain's Men, was destroyed by fire in 1613 and rebuilt a year later, before closing down permanently in 1642. A replica was opened in 1997 close to the site of the original theatre. This tour will explore its legacy and that of its most illustrious playwright, William Shakespeare.
