Visit to Gregynog Hall

| Gregynog Hall

Since the 1960s Gregynog Hall, Tregynon has been the study and conference centre of the University of Wales, but was formerly the home of the art patrons and collectors Gwendoline and Margaret Davies who left it in trust to the University. Today it still houses the library, furniture, musical instruments and some of the art from their collection, and continues to house the highly successful Gregynog Press, which they formed in 1922.

The visit is scheduled for 3.00pm with tea upon arrival. At 3.30pm David Vickers, Controller of Gregynog Press, will talk about the Press and its work, and there will be an opportunity to look through some of its beautiful books which will be on display.

After the talk it will be possible to visit the premises of the Press in small groups. You can also view the paintings and prints hung in the house, or walk in the serene landscaped gardens and woods. There will be a finger buffet at 5.30pm.
