Lecture: 'Scottish Masterpiece Saved for the Nation'

| Digby Memorial Church Hall

Jonathan Marsden, Deputy Surveyor of the Queen’s Works of Art, and a Trustee of The Art Fund will talk on Dumfries House, Ayrshire, which, after a last-minute intervention to secure its future, will open to the public in 2008. The house, considered the most important early work by Robert Adam and completed in 1760, contains original furniture commissioned from Chippendale and three great Scottish cabinetmakers.

Lecture sponsored by Duke’s Auctioneers.
