New Museums/ New Purposes- a talk by Marina Vaizey

| Burchatts Barn

In the last fifty years there has been a proliferation of new museums, many architectually striking, in Britian, Europe, North America and further afield. Marina Vaizey, art critic and author, will consider the purposes of these new buildings. What does the visitor expect? How are the roles of the museums changing? This lecture ties in with our evening event in May at The Lightbox in Woking, which opened in 2007.
