This illustrated lecture by Fenella Billington, a lecturer in art history for NADFAS, covers the period 1500 to 1600. It ranges between the England of Henry VIII and the France of Francis I, examining the work of Hans Holbein during his years as Henry's court artist and looking at Francis's great chateaux in the Loire Valley.
It explores too the work of Michelangelo and Raphael in Rome, Titian in Venice and Palladio in the Veneto, concluding with the celebrated sculptures of Giambologna.
