Visit to Cairness House

| Cairness House

Cairness House, designed by James Playfair and completed by Sir John Soane and currently being restored by the new owners having been neglected for about 60 years, boasts much fine plasterwork, the first Egyptian room in the country and has one of the finest collections of furniture and works of art in the North East of Scotland.
The owners of Cairness will give a tour round the house which will be followed by lunch with a glass of wine. On the way to Cairness there will be a stop for coffee at Esslemont.
