A private guided tour of this classical mansion, home to the Earl of Verulam, and built by his ancestor, the 3rd Viscount Grimston in 1777.

The architect was Sir Robert Taylor, and his Great Hall is notable for its 'Gallery of the Great', a fascinating picture collection of English monarchs and historical figures. In the afternoon there is a visit to St.Alban's Cathedral, beginning with lunch in the refectory.
