The Golden age of Stourbridge Art and Cameo Glass

Charles Hajdamach is the former Director of Broadfield House Glass Museum in Kingswinford, which he helped to establish and which he ran for 25 years. Since opening in 1980 the museum has become one of the top international glass museums in the world with a collection of Stourbridge, British and international glass numbering some 17,000 items. One of the country's foremost authorities on glass, Charles Hajamach wrote the standard work of 19th century British glass and is soon to publish a companion volume on British glass in the 20th century. His lecture for us promises to be 'a melodrama with larger than life characters, incredible artistic skills, intrigue and fabulous objects, set against an international backdrop'

After the lecture there will be a reception in the Dyson Perrins Hall with wine and light refreshments.
