Royal Liverpool Golf Club

| Royal Liverpool Golf Club

In 2006 the Open Championship returned to Hoylake for the first time in 40 years. One of the oldest golf clubs in the country, it boasts a wealth of golfing memorabilia, including fine oil paintings and a superb collection of silver trophies dating back to 1872, when Hoylake hosted the first important professional tournament outside Scotland. Joe Pinnington, author of the official history of the RLGC, Mighty Winds ... Mighty Champions, will give a short talk on the club's history and lead a tour of the clubhouse.
