Getting to know... Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum

We visited Glasgow to talk to Scotland's most popular museum about Bovril, elephants and Kofi Annan.

Describe yourself in three words: global, loved, majestic.

What is your most treasured possession? Salvador Dali’s, Christ of St. John on the Cross.

Your most famous visitor is... Queen Elizabeth II, or former UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan who seemed to enjoy our exhibition on rock gods, AC/DC.

What is your best café creation? Bovril, pie and beans for the football exhibition.

Any museum pets? Sir Roger the Elephant and the bees.

One thing that could make you better is... the invention of indestructible interactives for the under 5s.

You have a museum crush on... the British Museum (they have a crush on us too).

What do you most dislike about your appearance? As a grand old lady, nothing… age creates character and beauty!

You’re most happy when… our visitors leave us with big smiles on their faces – priceless!
