Wycombe Museum

Buckinghamshire, HP13 6PX

The museum explores the fascinating and varied history of the local area.

Situated in an 18th-century house on a mediaeval site, the museum's displays cover Wycombe's arts, crafts and social history.

The art collection ranges in date from the 17th to the 21st century and has a strong emphasis on local subjects and local artists. Meanwhile the furniture industry collection includes Windsor chairs from the 18th to the 20th centuries, and other locally produced chairs – such as the cane and rush seated from the 19th and 20th centuries.

There are also photographs, oral history tapes, stuffed wild animals and football memorabilia on display.
