Stills, Centre for Photography
The centre supports the discovery, enjoyment, exploration and understanding of photography in all its forms.
Stills was established in 1977 by a group of photographers who wanted to build on Edinburgh's historical association with the medium. In the 19th century it was a hub for pioneers of photographic development, and it was here many ground breaking developments were made.
Previous exhibitions have focused on some of the most important names in photography, such as Diane Arbus, Robert Mapplethorpe, Man Ray, Martha Rosler, Sebastião Salgado, Paul Strand and Wolfgang Tillmans.
