St Cecilia's Hall Museum of Instruments

The museum is currently closed for refurbishment, reopening at the end of 2016.

This outstanding display of early keyboard and plucked string instruments is part of the Edinburgh University Collection of Historic Musical Instruments, housed in the oldest purpose-built concert hall in Scotland (1763). It includes harpsichords, clavichords, fortepianos, organs, harps, lutes and guitars from the 16th century to the present day.
